PERSONAL WORKS

The Lifted

"The Lifted" is a project I've been working on for years.

It features an old-fashioned trash-collecting drone and a silent ghost.

The two meet on Tommy Thompson Park, an island formed from a landfill in Toronto, where the drone fulfills the ghost’s secret wish.

Since they are my favorites, I’ve also been creating VFX shorts and images featuring them separately from the main story.

Tommy Thompson Park: Environment Test Shot

Tommy Thompson Park is prohibited to fly a drone, so I recreated the island using BlenderGIS plugin and Unreal Engine 5 to make a drone shot.

Used Software: Blender, Unreal Engine 5, Substance Painter, and Nuke

Summer Shorts

I made 15-second short movies featuring each character in summer.

The wind chime was rigged in Blender, and animations were procedurally created.

The fireworks were made with Niagara particles in Unreal Engine 5.

Used Software: Blender, Unreal Engine 5, Substance Painter, and Nuke

Drone and Doggy

I painted out the person walking her dog and composited a drone just for fun!

Subaru 360

I created a Subaru 360 in Blender as a modeling/lighting exercise.

They’re also very curious about their new friend.

First Look and Selfie

The image on the left is the first concept image I created for this project.

The image on the right shows them taking a selfie at the same location a few years later.

Peek-A-Boo!

I created this for Halloween as a lighting exercise.

TECHNE ID

Techne ID was an interesting project that invited submissions of 15-second ID videos for Japanese television programs.

Two of my entries were selected in the “Shadow” category and aired.

Used Software: Cinema 4D and After Effects
